Do all presenters need to register for the symposium?

Yes, all the presenters are required to register for the symposium by May 1, 2025.
All deadlines follow the local time of Toronto (UTC-5/EST).

Can I change my attendance mode (in-person vs. remote)?

Yes. You can update your attendance modality by contacting the organizing team. Presenters may change their mode of attendance until May 1, 2026, which is also the deadline for registration and payment. 

Changes after May 1:

  • Switching modality may result in an administrative fee.

  • The final deadline for any changes to attendance modality is July 1, 2026.

Can I present in a language other than English?

No. The official language of the symposium is English.
All abstracts, slides, and spoken presentations must be in English or have English translation.

Automated translation services may be available upon request on a limited basis.

Will sessions be recorded and shared?

Yes. Keynote sessions, presentations, roundtables, and most workshops/ demonstrations/masterclasses will be recorded.
The recordings will be made available to registered participants after the symposium. All rights remain with the presenters, who are free to download and share their presentations after the event.

The final versions of accepted abstracts will be published on the symposium website.

As an online presenter, do I need to submit a pre-recorded video of my presentation?

Yes. All individual presenters (in-person and remote) must submit a PDF file of their presentation along with a short video presentation of their presentation.Further guidelines, including submission instructions and deadlines, will be provided shortly.

I am coming to Canada from abroad to attend the symposium in person. Can I get an invitation letter to apply for a visa?

Yes. Invitation letters for visa purposes are available only to registered participants

Who is eligible to register under the Student/Community category?

Youth under 18, undergraduate, and graduate students are eligible to register under the Student category. To qualify, you must upload a valid proof of current enrollment, which will be reviewed and approved by the Organizing Committee.

Participants residing in Canada are eligible to register under the Community category. To qualify, you must upload a valid proof of your current residency in Canada which will be reviewed and approved by the Organizing Committee.

I may not be able to attend, but would love to support this symposium.
